Teaching Young Learners

We consider as 'young learners' the children  between 7 and 12 years old.

In this section we are going to see some basic language to start, end and organize our primary classroom. Also I will upload a small table showing the main differences between young learners (YL: 7-12 years old) and very young learners (VYL: under 7 years old).

To develop this part I have use the book 'English for Primary Teachers' by Mary Slattery and Jane Willis.

The information uploaded is mainly completed or created by me. For further information or just to see the exercises which base my work, you should  turn to the book.

In every post included in this section, 'Teaching Young Learners',  I'll show you some of my work from my teaching degree.

As you'll see, the language used is quite simple and basic, but useful if you are a future English Teacher and your level of English is not very advanced.

Enjoy!
